Yorkville University’s online Bachelor of Interior Design is offered out of Toronto, Ontario. An applicant may be admitted to the Bachelor of Creative Arts degree program if they meet one of the following sets of requirements:

- Completion in good academic standing of a two-year (four-term) diploma from a Canadian college of applied arts and technology or private career college legally recognized in the applicant’s home province (or the equivalent from a post-secondary education institution legally recognized in a jurisdiction outside Canada).

- Six months’ professional, applied, and/or employment experience in the applicant’s area of creative arts expertise.
AND
- Completion of nine semester hours of university-level undergraduate study.
- Courses must have been completed at a public or private university legally recognized in the applicant’s home province or country.
- Courses must cover at least two of the following broad areas of study: social sciences, humanities, sciences (including mathematics), and fine arts.
- A grade of at least C must have been earned in each of the courses.

Yorkville University’s Doctor of Counselling and Psychotherapy is offered online out of Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Applicants to the Doctor of Counselling and Psychotherapy program are required to provide the following:

- Registry or certification in counselling or psychotherapy or a related field or status as a qualifying member
- Proof of two years of post-master’s counselling experience

In addition, applicants are required to have:
- A master’s program cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 or a 4.3 scale, or the equivalent on other grading scales. Some applicants may be admitted on a probationary basis if their cumulative GPA is between 3.0 and 3.3.
- The clinical training component of the program requires students to be professionally active and have clients. Normally, this requirement is met by the applicant being employed as a counsellor or psychotherapist, either full-time or part-time. Alternatively, the applicant might be professionally active as a full- or part-time volunteer counsellor or psychotherapist.
A master’s degree in counselling, psychotherapy, marriage and family therapy, pastoral counselling, applied psychology, education, nursing, occupational therapy, and social work, or an equivalent credential from a recognized university.
Yorkville University reserves the right to refuse admission and ask admitted students to withdraw from the program in special circumstances.

Confirmation of Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic score of 65 Canadian applicants who completed their qualifying master’s degree in French, but completed another post-secondary degree, certificate, or diploma or their secondary education in English, are exempted from the requirement to provide tested confirmation of English language proficiency.

Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology
Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology is offered online out of Fredericton, New Brunswick.

If you are an international student, a study permit must be obtained before classes start. The study permit can be applied for online, at a Canadian consular office abroad, or in Canada. Please see here for more information.
International students who continuously study full time on campus for the majority of their courses and graduate may also apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), which can be valid for up to three years and offers a path to permanent residency status in Canada. A student’s spouse or common-law partner may also apply for an open work permit. Please see here for more information.
As a condition of their study permit, international students who study on campus may be eligible to work part time up to 20 hours per week during semester and up to 30 hours per week study during break periods.
If you have previous post-secondary education or military service, you can apply for transfer credits toward completion of your program.

International students are only eligible to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) if they have continuously studied full-time in Canada with more than 50 percent of their studies completed on campus. Our on-campus programs are offered in Vancouver and Toronto, which are vibrant, multicultural cities that offer incredible student life experiences. Studying on campus is a great way to make new friends and develop life-long relationships with peers and faculty.
Students who study on campus also benefit from small class sizes, team building exercises and being part of an enhanced classroom learning experience.
